Buster Bars Last Longer
Choose the Pennsylvania Buster Bar for all your cage bar requirements: scrubber bar, upper bar, intermediate or lower screen bar.
We've seen Buster Bars that had already delivered three times the service life of ordinary screen bars, and after they were replaced, the old bars looked as if they had been recently installed.
Other Reasons why the Pennsylvania Buster Bar is the better buy:
- Required grind held far longer than ever before possible
- Less frequent cage maintenance
- Lower cost per ton crushed
Users also tells PCC that power demand is reduced and that they've noticed increases in capacity. Pennsylvania's Sales office in your area has samples of the Buster Bar for you to examine.

The Pennsylvania Screen Bar Design
This unique profile bar is designed with parallel wear surfaces 1" deep. This maintains a uniform opening between adjacent bars so that the product size will not vary through their entire service life.
The bottom taper of this bar prevents clogging between bars, a common problem in ordinary bars, while providing the strength to withstand the most severe service. Examine the drawing below and you can see why this screen bar promotes fast, unrestricted passage of the sized product.

A. Wearing surface B. Constant separation between bars is maintained through their entire service life. C. Tapered design for improved performance when running sticky or wet coal. The screen bar lugs must be machined to a tolerence of 1/4 degree or else the bars will not stack properly in the cage. Such precision is needed to ensure structural integrity so your assembly will attain its maximum wear life, avoiding premature wear and catastrophic failure due to improper fit. |
